| Are we neglecting the blessed Holy Spirit in our work? Can the persuasive words of man's wisdom convert anyone? | |
|
And when I came to you, brethren, I did not come with superiority of speech or of wisdom, proclaiming to you the testimony of God. For I determined to know nothing among you except Jesus Christ, and Him crucified. I was with you in weakness and in fear and in much trembling, and my message and my preaching were not in persuasive words of wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power, so that your faith would not rest on the wisdom of men, but on the power of God. (1 Cor 2:1-5 NASB) |

| Can we really do the same miracles the Lord Jesus did? | |
| Believe me when I say that I am in the Father and the Father is in me; or at least believe on the evidence of the miracles themselves. I tell you the truth, anyone who has faith in me will do what I have been doing. He will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father. And I will do whatever you ask in my name, so that the Son may bring glory to the Father. You may ask me for anything in my name, and I will do it. | |
| Father calls Jesus God | |
|
And when He again brings the firstborn into the world, He says, "And let all the angels of God worship Him." And of the angels He says, "Who makes His angels winds, and His ministers a flame of fire." But of the Son He says,
And the righteous scepter is the scepter of His kingdom. (Heb 1:6-8 NIV) |

| Gospel of Christ is not just words | |
| He called his twelve disciples
to him and gave them authority to drive
out
evil spirits and to heal every disease
and sickness. (Matt
10:1 NIV)
As you go, preach this message: `The kingdom of heaven is near.' Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse those who have leprosy, drive out demons. Freely you have received, freely give. (Matt 10:7,8) But if I drive out demons by the Spirit of God, then the kingdom of God has come upon you. (Matt 12:27) I asked your disciples to drive out the spirit, but they could not." "O unbelieving generation," Jesus replied, "how long shall I stay with you? How long shall I put up with you? Bring the boy to me." (Mar 9:18,19)When Jesus had called the Twelve together, he gave them power and authority to drive out all demons and to cure diseases, and he sent them out to preach the kingdom of God and to heal the sick. (Luk 9:1,2) Our call: Preach, drive out evil spirits, heal diseases, and set people free from all bodages More verses: Mark 3:15; 16:17; Luk 10:17-19; 1Joh 5:18-20 |
